E-learning has opened up a whole new vista of learning opportunities for employees close by and far away. Used effectively, it can be very powerful. However, in an attempt to be "cutting edge," companies often make huge investments in e-learning only to find they have "downshifted from a high intensity classroom experience to a boring, banal, online learning moment." (Elliott Masie, Techlearn Newsletter). Therefore, at The Training Alliance we identify up front whether the solution should include online learning. If it should, we design cost-effective e-learning templates that allow practice and interactivity. Again, we follow the credo that "people learn by doing," and this doesn't have to go away just because the solution is e-learning.
